Corporate reports

As an Australian Government entity, the Commission publishes a number of reports as required by the National Health Reform Act 2011, Public Governance, Performance and Accountability Act 2011 and other relevant legislation and general policy orders.

Annual Reports

The Commission publishes annual reports, annual corporate plans, and annual statements on safety and quality across different areas of Australian health care.

Corporate Plan

The Commission's corporate plan identifies the strategic priorities and work to be undertaken by the Commission over the next four years.

Strategic Intent

In 2019 the Commission's Board agreed to a new strategic intent for the period 2020–2025.

Australian Public Service Employee Census

Each year, the Commission's staff participate in the Australian Public Service Employee Census. The agency highlights report includes key results from the census with comparisons to the previous year's results, to APS agencies of a similar size, and to an overall APS average.

Senate Order for Entity Contracts Listing

The Senate Order for entity contracts, also known as the Murray Motion, requires government agencies to develop an internet listing twice a year that identifies contracts that are at or above the value of $100,000 (GST inclusive) and are active, or have been active, within the reporting period. This listing must also advise that the listed contracts do not contain any inappropriate confidentiality provisions. Each minister then tables a letter in the Senate outlining compliance with the Murray Motion for each agency in their portfolio.

Index List of Agency Files

The Senate agreed on 14 November 1994 to a motion by Senator Harradine requiring that each Minister table indexed lists of file titles created by Central Offices of each department or agency he or she administers.
