Take part in the first national PaRIS Health Survey

Are you an accredited general practice? Does your practice want to better understand your patients’ experiences and outcomes?

You are invited to join the national rollout of the Patient-Reported Indicator Survey (PaRIS) – the first international OECD-led survey of adults with chronic conditions that assesses their outcomes and experiences with GPs. The survey includes:

  • measures of physical and mental health
  • experience with GP consultations
  • how patients seek health information.

Your involvement may help up to 12 million Australians (46% of the adult population) who have at least one chronic condition.

Why get involved?

By taking part, GP practices will learn about their specific patients’ experiences, how they compare to other practices and opportunities to improve their patient care. The survey will also support evidence-based quality improvement in primary care at a national level and contribute to international learning.

Practices will receive their results via a personalised dashboard, along with advice on interpreting and using the data. Survey participation can also count towards CPD requirements.

Next steps

To join, practices register to participate and then invite eligible patients to do the survey.
