Surgical safety checklist
The World Health Organization Surgical Safety Checklist has been demonstrated to improve patient safety and is now widely used in Australia as the nationally agreed strategy for surgical safety.
In 2009 Health Ministers endorsed the World Health Organization Surgical Safety Checklist. This checklist should be used as patient/procedure matching protocol for surgery.
