Sepsis resources for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples
The Commission has developed culturally appropriate resources for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples to raise awareness of sepsis.
These resources aim to help Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples to recognise and respond to the early signs of sepsis.
Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people are more likely to be affected by sepsis than other Australians. Healthcare professionals and health service organisations are encouraged to share these resources with patients, families and carers and with colleagues.
Northern Territory Department of Health, T for Thomas, The George Institute for Global Health and the Australian Sepsis Network have partnered with the Commission to develop these resources.
