Supplementary Briefing - Joint Working Party: Safety and Quality

In 2012 the Commission and IHPA undertook a literature review to identify Australian and international hospital pricing systems that integrates quality and safety. The Literature Review on Integrating Quality and safety into Hospital Pricing Systems (literature review) was based on the electronic searches of available literature published prior to October 2012. The national and international evidence will be considered and incorporated into a discussion paper for widespread public consideration and feedback in late 2013. The Commission and IHPA have set up processes to continually monitor published literature and provide updates at each JWP meeting.
