Symptoms may include flooding through clothing, being unable to leave the house on the heaviest days, and having to change pads and tampons every one or two hours, including at night. Many women also feel very tired and anxious, and many may also have period pain. Women with heavy menstrual bleeding are at risk of iron deficiency and iron deficiency anaemia.
