Information for clinicians - Hip Fracture Clinical Care Standard
Information about the Hip Fracture Clinical Care Standard and supporting resources for clinicians.
What do clinicians need to know?
The Hip Fracture Clinical Care Standard includes seven evidence-based quality statements to improve the assessment and management of patients with a hip fracture to optimise outcomes and reduce their risk of another fracture.
A set of indicators is provided to support clinicians and healthcare services to monitor how well they are implementing the care recommended in this clinical care standard and to support local quality improvement activities.

Resources for clinicians
The resources below have been developed specifically for clinicians. You can also see our full list of implementation resources including guidance for healthcare services and resources for consumers.
Further consumer resources that may be helpful for clinicians can be found on the ANZHFR 'My Hip My Voice' page including the 'Hip Fracture Care Guide' resource which has been translated into 15 different languages, and was developed to help consumers understand what to expect when admitted to hospital with a broken hip.
