In this six-part Consumer Insights Video Series, you can hear from consumer representatives working in health care. Across the series, consumers share their perceptions, experiences and recommendations, helping to raise awareness and inspire positive change.
Consumer partnerships
The benefits of health services partnering with consumers and communities is widely acknowledged. This may include discussions and decisions about the design, implementation and evaluation of health policies, programs and services.
The Partnering with Consumer Standard within the National Safety and Quality Health Service (NSQHS) Standards recognises the importance of the consumers’ voice in creating a more positive patient experience, high-quality health care and improved safety.
About this video series
The series includes six short videos providing an insight into the role of consumer representatives in health care. Several consumer representatives participated in these videos and shared their perceptions, experiences, and recommendations, helping to raise awareness and inspire positive change.
The Commission partnered with peak consumer health organisations across Australia to develop the series in 2023.
