Why is the web tool important?
Public reporting of safety and quality data helps us understand where our hospitals are doing well and where they need to do better.
Everyone has a right to know about the quality of the care provided by their hospitals. The Safety in Health Care web tool allows consumers to see data from their local hospital, alongside information about how safety and quality is assessed and promoted in the Australian health system.
Information about the quality of care provided in Australian hospitals
Consumers can look up safety and quality data from their local hospital and see how it compares to national benchmarks. They will also be able to read about the indicators and processes used to assess and promote safety and quality in the Australian health system.
