World Hand Hygiene Day 2025 campaign
This communications kit has been designed to assist Australian healthcare organisations to promote World Hand Hygiene Day 2025.
World Hand Hygiene Day is a global initiative led by the World Health Organization (WHO) and held on 5 May each year. Show your support by downloading and sharing the content on your website, social networks or within your health service.
You are encouraged to use these resources to raise awareness about how hand hygiene can help save lives by preventing the spread of infection.
To support the WHO's theme 'It might be gloves. It’s always hand hygiene', the Commission's overarching theme for World Hand Hygiene Day 2025 is: ‘Gloves at the right time. Hand hygiene all the time: a sustainable path to better hand hygiene’.
By promoting World Hand Hygiene Day, you can help reinforce the importance of hand hygiene and appropriate glove use to prevent healthcare-associated infections, and reduce unnecessary waste.
