National Hand Hygiene Initiative Learning Management System (NHHI LMS) organisation registration
The NHHI LMS hosts the hand hygiene, infection prevention and control modules and hand hygiene auditor online learning. Health service organisations (excluding aged care) with 10+ staff can register for access to the NHHI LMS.
Registering an organisation allows learners (staff) to link their profiles to your organisation in the NHHI LMS.Organisations do not need to register for its staff (learners) to access the NHHI online learning modules. The organisation name does not appear on any completion certificates.
Learning modules for aged care workers and providers
The Aged Care Quality and Safety Commission provides learning modules to help aged care workers and providers understand their obligations and supply safe, high-quality care.

Organisation requirements
- Only health service organisations (excluding aged care) with a minimum of 10 staff that will access the NHHI online modules can apply.
- Training must be appropriate and relevant to the workforce.
- Executive approval on organisation letterhead approving NHHI LMS set up and nominating one primary Organisation Administrator.
- The primary Organisation Administrator must submit the online organisation application. (Additional administrators can be added by the primary Administrator.)
- All Organisation Administrators contact emails will be visible to all learners (staff) linked to the organisation in the NHHI LMS.
Organisation Administrator role
- Provide first line support to staff (learners) registered to the organisation
- Manage user access, including removing staff no longer working at the organisation
- Ensure organisation details and contact information are accurate
- Enrol staff (learners) in relevant modules, training pathways and assessments, as required
- Cancel or withdraw enrolments, as required
- Retrieve training records and completion certificates
- Run reports on enrolments and completions
How to register
Organisations can apply to register their interest via the online application form.
Organisation applications will be reviewed by the Help Desk team, who may seek additional information. Applications may be rejected, and a reason will be provided to the applicant in these cases.
